Drama & Theatre Studies

Drama and performance play a vital part in a Cranleigh education. Pupils of all ages participate in our thriving Drama programme, either as part of their curriculum in the IVth Form or as an optional academic subject at GCSE and AS/A Level or as an extra-curricular activity. Between five and eight productions take place each year, performed by groups drawn from particular Houses, particular year groups or the School as a whole.

With so much going on, every pupil has the opportunity to appear at least once in a School year and many pupils seize the opportunity to do so on a much more regular basis. However, the opportunities are not limited just to those who wish to act: we also have a Technical Theatre Club for those interested in lighting and sound design, and much more behind-the-scenes work.
