ranleigh’s U14 girls’ team achieved a historic victory on Friday February 24th in the National Qualifier against Kent College, winning an exciting match 6-3. This is the first time a Cranleigh girls’ team has qualified for the Nationals, and it has been a long journey to reach this stage, especially with this final hurdle being postponed twice due to the recent snow.

The girls will travel to Cannock Hockey Club next week for the Nationals on Wednesday February 29th, where they represent the South region along with St George’s, Weybridge. They will be up against the six other qualifying teams from the North, Midlands, East and West regions.

After the successes of our U18 and U16 boys’ teams in the Nationals last year (winners, and runners-up, respectively) it is great that we now have a girls’ team to fly the flag for the school at this prestigious event.
