Elite swimmers from regional clubs enjoyed training with champion swimmer Mark Foster at our Sports Centre this week.

Young swimmers were put through their paces in and out of the pool, with land training sessions to develop technique, and talks on self-care, nutrition, and stress management – all designed to help with the challenge of swim competitions.

They also enjoyed intense pool training with Mark and his colleagues.

Foster scooped a total of 51 medals in his competitive career, from National Championships, Commonwealth Games, European and World Championships, dominating the short from 1986 to 2004.

By age 15, Foster was the fastest swimmer in the country and remains committed to his work encouraging young swimmers to develop themselves mentally and physically. His team will return to Cranleigh for another session in October.
