We are delighted to be shortlisted for the Independent Schools of the Year Awards 2024 for our Performing Arts.

All pupils can discover their talent within the performing arts programme. As part of a cast, a chorus, an ensemble or the back-stage team, pupils will grow in confidence while learning skills to help aid them in future life. The Cranleigh ethos is focused around providing every opportunity for pupils to discover and nurture their talents and passions.

The 2023-24 academic year has been particularly special for performing arts at Cranleigh. In 1964, Cranleigh drama made the national press when it staged West Side Story, a radical move reflecting the changing times and the first amateur production of it in the world. To celebrate 60 years of musical theatre and this particular performance, and a decade of its flagship International school in Abu Dhabi, Cranleigh performed West Side Story again and both schools worked together on the performance.

The finalists will be announced in September and we thank the judging panel for their recognition.
