North was built for Cranleigh’s 100th birthday in 1965 and has been enlarged and refurbished in more recent years. The House has an enviable view of the hockey, cricket and rugby pitches, where the Housemaster can regularly be found supporting boys on the touchline.
Mr Humes rejoined Cranleigh in September 2020 after spending time as Deputy Principal at Jerudong International School in Brunei. Alongside his commitments in North, Mr Humes is a Physics teacher and enjoys Rugby and Basketball. He lives in House with his wife Tamsin and three boisterous children.
